At Make it Home Design Company, we offer a variety of service options as well as levels of execution support.

Consultation

Our Design Consultation is a working meeting that determines the scope of work and sets conceptual groundwork for your project. We’ll help begin the process by offering suggestions, tips, and ideas, and answering any questions you have. Most projects start here and if this is all you need, great! You can stop here and take our suggestions and run with it. But if you’d like more help, we’ll determine together what type of service/level of support you need.

Furnishing/Styling

Are you looking for a refresh of your spaces? Let us curate a perfectly styled space for how YOU and your family ACTUALLY live. Whether that means incorporating your favorite heirlooms, or wiping the slate clean, we can help you create a house that feels like HOME. These projects only require basic trade labor (paint, wallcovering installation, window treatment installation, etc.) but mostly focus on transforming rooms through furnishings, art, and accessories.

Design Build

Do your spaces need a full renovation or are you building a new home? Feeling overwhelmed by the thousands of decisions about space planning, finishes, fixtures, and even furnishings needed to create that dream space? These projects require multiple expert tradesmen and detailed design plan to build from scratch or remodel your home. We create a comprehensive plan and work in lock step with contractors to create your dream spaces!

Designer for a Day

Perhaps you don’t need a FULL redesign, but you need more support than just a vision. Designer for a Day can help bridge that gap and help you on your way to a room you can be proud of! With a design day, we’ll customize your day to include the in-home consultation PLUS behind-the-scenes design time and/or sourcing and shopping of the exact items for your spaces. We’ll do what we can that day and create a clear plan for you to implement on your own.

Level of Execution Support

We offer different levels of execution support for both furnishing/styling and design build services. Once we determine the type of service you need, next we’ll need to decide the level of support you need.

Full Service

This level of support is for those that need help with the execution of the project.

  • Our Full Service package is great for busy homeowners and investors.

  • Create and Execute a Detailed Project Plan including:

    -Multiple Design Meetings with client and contractors

    -Design Concept Development & Mood Boards

    -2D/3D floor plans and renderings

    -Budget Details for materials and labor (quotes from preferred & available vendors & contractors)

    -Define Scope and Timeline expectations

    -FF&E of specific fixtures and/or furnishings

    -Lighting / Plumbing Plans (as applicable)

    -Review and revise design as necessary

    -Coordination of timeline, design plan and work plan with all contractors

    -Shop, source, procure and manage delivery of all design materials on site on schedule.

    -Manage design issues, questions and communications throughout project.

    -Ensure installation of all design materials is to plan, including styling all furnishings.

    -Enjoy the final Reveal with you!

Essentials

This level of support is for those that need help with the design/planning but can handle the execution of the project.

  • Our Essentials package is great for DIYers and builders.

  • -Create a Detailed Project Plan:

    -Initial Meeting (determine style, budget, priorities, etc)

    -Design Concept Development & Mood Boards

    -2D/3D floor plans and renderings

    -Budget Plan (for materials only)

    -FF&E of specific fixtures and/or furnishings - WITH LINKS for self procurement

    -Lighting / Plumbing Plans as applicable

    -Proposal review meeting and up to two revisions from feedback

    -Handoff meeting with contractor of choice

    -“Phone your designer” support calls/visits (limited)

    Product price and availability changes, substitutions, procurement, delivery, issue resolution, installation, styling, or issues regarding variations in construction execution will all be responsibility of homeowner.
